What began as a small village smithy in 1879 has now become an internationally active company with its head offices in Mühlhausen in the Upper Palatinate, and branches in Dresden, Berlin, Borkheide and Bozen.
The success of our company is based on exceptional customer focus and clearly defined company goals in terms in customer satisfaction and the outstanding quality of our products and services.
Burkhardt GmbH currently has around 250 employees, and is constantly expanding.
MILESTONES
Our “success” story:
| 1879 | Burkhardt was founded as a smithy in Neumarkt in the Upper Palatinate |
| 1978 | The fields of business were expanded. Burkhardt now stands for quality and skill in the sanitation heating, ventilation, and plumbing sectors |
| 1991 | Acquisition of the firm BNS Baumaschinen-Nutzfahrzeuge und Stahlbau in Dresden and
establishment of a branch of Burkhardt GmbH |
| 1992 | Establishment of the Chemnitz branch |
| 1993 | Expansion of BNS around the Radebeul business unit |
| 1995 | Construction of a new office building and materials store in Mühlhausen |
| 1996 | Incorporation of the Gröbern bei Meißen business unit into BNS |
| 1997 | Haustechnik GmbH in Borkheide/Mittelbrandenburg begins it activities as
an independent company |
| 2000 | Expansion of the Mühlhausen office building |
| 2005 | Founding of the second site in Mühlhausen |
| 2005 | Expansion of the company into the energy technology sector. Manufacture and development of own products such as vegetable oil cogeneration plants and wood gasifiers |
